“Blake didn’t even watch the CMAs. He’s been out in the woods in and around his ranch in Oklahoma,” an insider tells HDWallpaper.org EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s been spending time with his guy friends, hunting and having guy time. He decided to remove himself from the show and focus on a drama-free vacation at home instead. He is set to return to work on The Voice soon and this was his only downtime, so he chose to use it doing what he loves best.”
Indeed, The Voice goes live on Nov. 7, so he’ll have to be in L.A. at the beginning of every week until mid-December for the show. Amidst all that, Season 12 will be taping, so it’s about to be a busy few weeks for the country superstar. Plus, he wasn’t nominated or on the performer’s list at this year’s CMAs, and with Miranda Lambert, 32, as a confirmed attendee, it simply didn’t make sense for him to show up.
Still, it was the 50th anniversary of the awards ceremony, and all of the biggest names in country music were in Nashville to make an appearance, so it definitely felt like there was an empty spacewithout the 40-year-old.
