Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan, Anushka Sharma starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has literally left the box office ringing by raking in a fantastic collection. As we had reported, the film had raked in Rs. 80.19 crores by the end of the first week at the domestic market. However, internationally, the film is doing fantastically well! With an ensemble cast as strong as this Karan Johar film, its pretty obvious that fans from all corners would want to watch the film and won’t mind shelling out bucks to watch their favourite actors. The box office has been in favour of the film, which is easily 2016’s Diwali hit. Despite the festive season, the Ranbir-Ash chemistry seems to have struck a chord with the audience.

KJo has a huge fanbase internationally. Well, so does Ash but the fact that the NRI’s can connect tremendously well with the filmmaker’s vision, ADHM easily surpassed Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay at the overseas market. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil earned Rs 6.18 crore on Thursday, to take its 7-day tally to Rs 80.19 crore. Taran Adarsh mentioned about the detailed collections, when he tweeted, #ADHM Fri 13.30 cr, Sat 13.10 cr, Sun 9.20 cr, Mon 17.75 cr, Tue 13.03 cr, Wed 7.63 cr, Thu 6.18 cr. Total: ₹ 80.19 cr. India biz. Produced by Dharma, a source close to the production house shared details on the progress of the film worldwide and guess what, within its first week, ADHM has entered the Rs. 150 crores mark by earning Rs. 169.26 crores worldwide. The source mentioned, “The film has earned Rs. 80.19 crore nett (Rs. 114.55 crore gross) at the domestic box office. At the overseas market, the film has collected Rs. 54.71 crore gross. This means ADHM has collected Rs. 169.26 crore gross at the worldwide market in the first week. It’s a remarkable achievement ’cause ADHM now holds the second highest overseas week one collection after Sultan.”

While, we speculated that Monday and Tuesday were going to be great for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it was startling to learn that the film continued to maintain its fabulous run even on a Wednesday which was non holiday. Our speculations suggested about Rs. 5 crores but the film managed to surpass that as it raked in Rs 7 crore, a very decent collection. The movie has passed the crucial non-holiday test quite easily. With such fantastic numbers, hopes are high from this film as we now expect ADHM to maintain a steady collection and occupancy. The film might cross the Rs 80 crore mark today and it is expected that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will touch the Rs 100 crore make by the end of the second weekend. The best upperhand that the Ranbir-Aishwarya starrer holds currently is the fact that there aren’t any big releases this week, therefore giving them another week to shine at the box office.

Also, we’ll be getting Shivaay numbers so don’t go anywhere!
